This is the homepage for the absolutely free SubtitleDownloader.

I've made this application for personal use when I needed to find and download Romanian subtitles for movie files and I had to search them on different web sites. The biggest problem was to find the best match subtitle movie version because not all web sites gives this information and there are a few that show all subtitles details or compare the movie file hash with the one you have on computer.

In late of 2009 I've decided to make an application for searching and downloading movie subtitles with a minimum user effort. I've made it in Java language to be portable on different platforms(Windows, Linux, Mac), without installer to keep it and run it from external devices like USB pen drive and others.

Now, the last SubtitleDownloader version is 1.1 and offer as much as a regular user can desire from a subtitle searcher and downloader application. In the future I shall keep it freeware as it is now and I hope that, with your suggestions, this will be a very handy and usefull tool for all.

SubtitleDownloader is a clean application without any adware, viruses and spywares. It has been tested on different sites and obtained certificates that confirms it is safety to use.
